after donald trump said muslim refugees from countries with terror chaos should be banned from coming to america at least temporarily khizr khan criticized trump online while mentioning his muslim son's heroism. the clinton campaign took it from there. making sure mr. khan was given a platform at the democratic convention. the same thing the republican party did with pat smith who directly blames hillary clinton for the death of her son in benghazi, libya. mr. khan's point of view received 50 times more coverage from the establishment media than ms. smith's. but there is a reason for that donald trump criticized mr. khan and his wife while hillary clinton did not directly confront ms. smith other than saying she might have misheard some stuff. lesson number one for donald trump commenting on regular folks fraught with danger no matter what they say. to be fair, khazr khan did

because the mainstream establishment media has empowered them. has made them noble crusaders for justice. and you know they have. that no matter how heinous and how hateful the rhetoric, oh, it's not them. it's just a few. whereby if you look at their leadership you know this is the theme. but i want to explain to the audience what you just referenced. one of their demands, the black lives matter demands. >> fossil fuel. >> this is his character call. demand education health and safety of black people instead of caging and harming black people. can't put african-american in prison. we want investments in black communities determined by black communities divestment prisons. fossil fuels, surveillance and exploitative corporations and then they want collective ownership. basically they want communism. that's what they want. >> bill, even you are laughing at this. this is ridiculous. if you gave it one ounce of
8:45 pm
serious consideration you would knowed that the people who would be hurt by the an abolition of fossil fuels would be particularly those people living on the edge whose power rates, utility rates would skyrocket. this is not serious. >> then you have to pay their bills. i don't know if you're understanding that the black lives matter movement has gained some traction particularly in the african-american and far left communities and they are not the same, by the way, those two. they gained power there they are kind of respected in some arenas. >> look, i look at this as the same way i look at the wall street overthrow down with wall street movement. which was obviously flakey. which was not going to survive the first winter storms. it did not. it had no idea where it was going, what it was doing. it got a ton of media attention on the left. front page of the "new york

times." their ombudsman actually wrote that the "times" had adopted it as a cause. this is the same thing. you read that manifesto. you compare it to what marks wrote in 1859. and, you know, you have got to admire marx. you could write and he could think. these people can do neither. >> all right. charles krauthammer, everybody. mcguirk and watters on deck. rather violent clash between pokemon players and a vietnam vet. this is serious. right back with it. what's it like to be in good hands? like finding new ways to be taken care of. home, car, life insurance obviously, ohhh... but with added touches you can't get everywhere else, like claim free rewards... or safe driving bonus checks. even a claim satisfaction guaranteeeeeeeeeee! in means protection plus unique extras only from

[bleep] >> veteran. >> thank you for your service. >> [bleep] these are like [bleep] >> grave stones right there. like a [bleep] stone. >> no it's not. >> what do you mean no it's not? i give up. not? >> i give up. [ bleep ]. >> get the camera. get the camera. get this guy in jail. >> maybe you guys will [ bleep ] this is serious or not. >> no, we don't. >> what do you mean, no, you don't, you little [ bleep ]. >> 67-year-old bruce reed charged with disorderly conduct, destruction of property has he took down those tents in the cemetery. you know, you can't do what he did, all right? we're not -- you can't be a vigilante and this and that, but he's right to be teed off about
8:51 pm
these morons. >> maybe he overreacted. but listen, a vietnam vet with ptds. >> they have ptsd, pokemon twist stupid disorder. i video was a hoax because they show one of these players, his girlfriend was pregnant, and we know none of these nerds got that kind of game, right, jesse? >> that's right. i actually feel bad for the tent. i didn't even know millennials could pitch a tent. that guy went after that savagely. i don't know what that was. >> but the bottom line is that this is inappropriate, correct? his construduct's inappropriatet the fuse that was lighted by these pokemon morons, you know, do it somewhere else. it's ridiculous. >> no sense of reference, no sense of history. >> or respect. then they baited him. they always do that. all right. let's get to politics now. very, very serious story
8:52 pm
surrounding donald trump. a picture of him in an unbelievable situation. roll that picture. there he is. eating fried chicken, watters, with a knife and fork. i don't know how you vote for the man after this. >> now we know why christie has been hanging around the jet. i'm thinking what voting bloc is he trying to appeal to? >> kentucky. >> then i realize, sanders supporters because he's got the colonel right there. it's a subtle message. >> but the press, the left-wing press and people on twitter and whatever they do, actually went wild that there was a knife and a fork that he was using to eat chicken. >> they'll go for anything, but i love it. it's hilarious. i love the taco bowl tweet he did a few months ago, and as far as the knife and fork goes, i agree with jesse. he probably is wielding them as weapons in gacase governor christie does pop up on the plane. who knew he was into health food
8:53 pm

8:56 pm
khan's, who just happened to have a copy of the constitution on him. rebecca, texas. patricia smith and khizr khan gave the best speeches at the convention, but they were both used as political pawns. laura, new jersey. o'reilly, brilliant and fair talking points about hillary clinton and president obama. you provided hard facts and avoided polarizing rhetoric. tim, sydney, australia. i'm truly befuddled as to why those on the american left bend over backwards to support islam. that culture often disparages women and gays. it is a mystery until you dig deeper, tim. many on the far left, not standard-issue liberals but far left believe the usa is the reason that islamic terrorism exists. they think we ignited all of the problems because of our foreign policy, especially our relationship with israel. that's what that's all about.
8:57 pm
mike, georgia. o'reilly, you nailed joe klein with the facts and he could not respond clearly. i didn't appreciate he didn't hide from you, however. here's the essential problem with the partisan media. they pick up stuff from the net without checking it out. rarely do partisans on either side want to know what was really said by someone like me or anyone else. they simply want to bash. that's all they want to do. monty, redondo beach, california. joe klein calls the entire republican party hateful. isn't that hateful? interesting point. daniel, port elizabeth, south africa. i'm 11 and love watching "watters' world." please ask jesse to explore big foot. will do. dexter, bell grave, montana. just watched a preview for ki killikil killing reagan. can't wait to see the movie on my it 22 nt birthday. here's the thing i hated about killing reagan, that i waited so long to read it.

8:59 pm
that goes right into my paycheck. the woman was flustered and kind of wandered away. now, she insulted me hoping to get a reaction that she could put on her facebook page or whatever dopey stuff, all right? that's a game. even if you're not famous, troubled people wanting to get a rise out of you. so here's the factor tip of the day. either say nothing or smile and say something like, you know, you're absolutely right. then walk away, never to interact with the person again. and that is it for us tonight. please check out the fox news factor website which is different from billoreilly.com. also we'd like you to spout off about the factor from anywhere in the world. o'reilly at foxnews.com. name and town, name and town. word of the day, do not be a curmudgeon. now, i'll give you a hint. if you don't know what curmudgeon means, it's the only thing that bernie sanders and i may have in common. the only thing. all right. again, thank you for watching us tonight. i am bill o'reilly, and please

always remember that the spin stops right here because we are definitely looking out for you. breaking tonight, a new national uproar after police shoot a suspect near baltimore and touch off a huge wave of controversial media coverage. welcome to "the kelly file," everyone. i'm megyn kelly. many americans awoke to the heartbreaking news today that a young black mother had been killed and her young son wounded after a nearly six-hour standoff with police on monday. what was missing from some of those initial reports, however, was the fact that gaines was allegedly pointing a shotgun at the responding officers as she sat on the couch with a 5-year-old child. police were attempting to serve arrest warrants to gaines and a man named kareem courtne
